Sweet Dissonance

Peace & Protest
in American Song

A LIVE performance taking the audience through the history of American protest music with stories and songs.

about the show

SWEET DISSONANCE tells America's history through the sonic lens of our protest music. Weaving songs and stories, we lead the audience through the Civil War, the Suffrage Movement, the Labor Movement, the Vietnam War, and the Civil Rights Movement.

We celebrate artists like Woody Guthrie, Bob Dylan, Pete Seeger, Billie Holiday, Neil Young, Joan Baez, Phil Ochs,  Peter, Paul & Mary and many more...

SWEET DISSONANCE is a production that can be tailored to fit any venue, whether it be a main stage theater, a cabaret club, a school, or a library.  The length of the show can be a full two act production or a shortened 45 minute to 1 hour for a school setting.
